How to Play

A balancing act of placement, merging, and strategic management. Plan carefully to maximise your survival time!

Deploy & Merge Tools

Place Defence Tools (blue) on the grid. Connect three identical tools to merge them into a more powerful, next-tier version. Higher-tier tools deal more damage and help you survive longer against enemy waves.

Fight Enemies

Your merged tools automatically combat the enemies that spawn on the grid, keeping you alive. Enemies will reduce your health at set intervals. If your health reaches 0, the game is over.

Build Infrastructure

Strategically place Infrastructure items (green). These are vital, as they generate the "Bandwidth" required to deploy more tools. Once placed, Infrastructure cannot be moved, so choose your positions wisely!

Reap the Rewards

When the game ends, all Infrastructure items left on your grid are converted directly into CC. The longer you survive and the more you build, the greater your reward to spend in Threat Command and Digital Duel!

Defence Matrix is fully integrated into the SO ecosystem. Earn CC through strategic gameplay!

Game Completion Rewards

Earn CC when your game ends based on your final score. The better your strategic decisions and the more waves you survive, the higher your CC payout.

Plan Ahead

You can tap to move your Defence Tools, but once you place an Infrastructure item, it cannot be moved. Think carefully about infrastructure placement - it's permanent and crucial for generating bandwidth.

Balance Tools & Infrastructure

You need Infrastructure (green) to generate bandwidth for more Defence Tools (blue). Too much of either leaves you vulnerable. Find the right balance for sustainable defence.

Merge Strategically

Connect three identical tools to merge them into higher tiers. Higher-tier tools are more powerful, but don't rush merges if spreading coverage is more important for your current situation.

Survive for Maximum CC

Infrastructure converts to CC when the game ends. The longer you survive and the more infrastructure you build, the bigger your reward. Focus on longevity, not just quick wins!
